Reviews
Stopped in for lunch with the fam yesterday, decent food. The burger was good, fries needed to cook longer, they were limp and needed a longer cook time (unimpressive); onion rings, we'd get those again for sure, and skip the fries. Overall, good quick lunch, a little pricey, but decent.
We were out for a hotdog and a burger tonight and happened across Reds down a alley off 634 Main Street in East Aurora. It was all you could ask for in a "burger joint" plus a lot more. Enough interesting, creative sandwiches and an almost inexhaustible list of milkshakes flavors to keep you coming back for weeks. The service was engaging and friendly. My cheeseburger was very good. But it was just a cheeseburger you say... but how many bad or disappointing cheeseburgers have you had? The fresh cut fries were hot and cooked just right. So if you're looking for good American fair, made as good as it gets at a reasonable price, Reds at the rear of 634 Main Street in East Aurora is a sure bet.
Red's Hot Dogs is a nostalgic little restaurant with a walk up counter for To-Go or Eat-In options. Burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, fries, salads, milkshakes are all high quality and well-prepared. A true delight, and a very nice "break" from the typical fast food drive thru experience.
Super cute place! I opted to take my brother here as we were both out in EA for the afternoon, I had wanted to get some work done at Taste and knew he wouldn't eat anything on their menu. He's definitely a burgers and hot dogs kind of kid. The decor is so pleasant. It's so diner-esque, but there's also some modern elements to it, like the signage and flat-screen tv. It's not the biggest space, but cozy enough to tickle your fancy, and even dazzle the kids. Their menu here is huge - I only just skimmed over it because I didn't want to spend time reading it all, but you can expect to find burgers, hot dogs, and beef on weck here. They've also got milkshakes in a variety of flavors. I wanted to go for a healthier option at Taste, so I just ordered whatever my brother wanted and sampled what he had. Two hot dogs and a milkshake are really all he needs to be happy. Their hot dogs aren't Sahlen's (don't let that stop you) - they're Red's own brand of hot dogs, and were actually pretty delicious! I was pretty impressed with them, and the milkshake too. It came out nice and thick, and was super sweet. I had to keep myself from drinking all of my brother's milkshake. I feel like there's a There Will Be Blood reference in here somewhere. They are a little pricey, but I get it, most of their meat and ingredients are their own product. I like how this awesome little place is just tucked away behind Taste, and I'm definitely going to sit down and eat here next time I'm craving a quick burger-y bite in EA!
Stopped here after a little shopping. We ordered at the counter and sat at a table. The food arrived quickly. I had the Reuben Hot Dog. Crispy grilled hotdog, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Thousand Island dressing. It is exactly what I was expecting! My friend had the Fried Balogna sandwich. It was big and she wasn't able to finish it. My other friend had the Cheeseburger. She was not impressed with it. It looked pretty standard. She said it really didn't have any flavor and didn't eat most of it. She did have the onion rings, which were crisp and delicious. She also had an Oreo milkshake that she said was very good. Overall, relatively inexpensive and would go back again.
